Financial Literacy

Financial Literacy can start at any age! πŸ’°πŸ’΅πŸ‘πŸ½
πŸ’°
Teaching about money and financial literacy is one of my favorite things to do with my students! Our entire classroom turns into a bank, a snack shop, & a gift shop!
πŸ’΅
I watched my students with so much pride as they navigated through earning their own money, saving up to buy something special, being devastated when they lost their wallet, and gaining a true understanding of the value of a dollar. (They were able to understand things I didn’t get until I was a grown up!)

This school year we didn’t get to this unit due to school closure, but I’m going to do my best to teach these valuable life skills virtually! We won’t be able to have the shop set up, but we can still learn about value, earning and losing, savings, and deposits!
I have a donors choose project up to raise enough funds for fake money and other materials needed to continue our learning from home & finish the year strong! πŸ’ͺ🏽 If you are willing to give & are able, check out the link in my bio & go to Donor’s Choose- select the project titled β€œDistance Learning Materials, Access for All”. Right now there is a match offer, so anything you donate will be DOUBLED!
We appreciate any & all support given!
